Nurrenyen encourages the use of our stud sires by other breeders. Because we are interested in the development of a commercial Australian alpaca fibre industry, we encourage the use of superior genetics through the wide use of superior sires throughout the Australian herd.
Matings at Nurrenyen.
POLICY
All matings to our sires are to be undertaken at Nurrenyen and the stud fee includes up to sixty (60) days
agistment of the female at Nurrenyen to ensure pregnancy.
We have developed an Agistment Protocol to govern the management of the agisted females being mated with our stud sires. This includes the development of a treatment plan, bio security plan and feeding plan for all agisted females in consultation with their owners.
